Domaine de Malcintat is situated 3 km outside the pretty village of Fanjeaux, 25 minutes drive from Carcassonne, and 10 minutes from the medieval town of Mirepoix, with its market and restaurants. It is a large farmhouse with outbuildings, consisting of the owners house and two gites, the Olive House with 4 bedrooms and the Lavender House with 5 bedrooms.  It is set in three hectares of beautiful landscaped gardens, with a large swimming pool,  fruit trees, an oak wood and pond.  There are lovely views of rolling farmland and the Montagne Noir beyond, with the spectacular peaks of the Pyrenees rising to the south. 

Domaine de Malcintat is also run as a Chambres d’Hotes and rooms can be let individually on a bed and breakfast basis when not booked as gites. 

Both gites are stylishly and comfortably furnished with both contemporary and traditional furniture, and linen and house towels are provided.
